Campus Life

Campus life at LCS is accented by a Christ-centered and student-focused culture. We strive to make our students and their families feel part of the Falcon Family.

At LCS, we offer a wide range of opportunities for students to connect to a Christ-centered atmosphere. We do this through the use of innovation and technology in academics, the arts, sports, clubs, and community service!

Beta Club

National Beta is America’s largest independent, non-profit educational youth organization, dedicated to preparing today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders. The organization honors academic excellence, fosters character and social responsibility, promotes active service to both school and community, nurtures leadership skills, and provides opportunities for students to build meaningful interpersonal relationships.

Students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, display admirable character, and maintain a positive attitude may be invited to join the National Junior or Senior Beta Club at LCS. These students engage in community service activities throughout the year, going above and beyond the graduation requirements. New inductees are celebrated annually at the Beta Club Induction Ceremony.

Robotics Club

Cross-Circuit Christian Constructors participate annually in the FIRST Tech Challenge, where students design and build robots to compete against teams from across the state! Along the way, they gain valuable experience in areas such as design, marketing, team-building, coding, and multiple engineering disciplines. The team also benefits from training and certifications in tools like AutoCAD, which can help students pursue job opportunities in their fields of interest—even while still in high school. Throughout the season, engineers from across the state volunteer to mentor our team, sharing their expertise and guidance.

The Robotics Club is open to both middle and high school students who maintain good grades and have approval from the club mentors. Members are expected to attend meetings regularly and uphold a positive academic and behavioral record both in and outside of school. Students may participate in one or both out-of-town competitions and can also earn service hours by assisting FIRST leadership with competitions and contributing to community outreach STEAM projects.

Chess Club

Chess Club meets twice a week in Mr. Johnson’s room during high school lunch. It’s designed to be an enjoyable, low-key space where students can relax, connect with friends, and engage their minds in some friendly strategy. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking for a casual game, it’s a great way to unwind and enjoy some mental challenge during your lunch break.
